It's layers of resin. Each layer is painted on until the image looks 3-d and realistic. It's all paintings

My mother still won't believe these are paintings, even though I showed her a video of someone making paintings like this. xD She is convinced these are real or 3D sculpts in resin, but I don't blame her.

Saw this on cheezburger in the WIN section. At a glance, I thought I was looking at a photograph until I realized it was a painting. Simply amazing.
