Thanks, I had to invest some time on the cuteness side because in the J-pop world, that is more important than the singing talent.

Thanks! One thing I like about AnimeDoll is that I can quickly replace her eyes, like I did for this character. Took me only a couple of minutes to paint the new texture and apply it to my Xpression Prop eyes in Poser's "Material Room". ^_^

Thank you! I think the eyes are the heart and soul of a character, and so far I have created about a dozen eye textures for my Xpression Prop eyes. Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about that with Aiko, mostly because I cannot change her eyes shape. To me that imposes a rather serious limitation on what I can do with Aiko when it comes to creating new characters. Some artists have released new morphs to reshape her entire head and body (like Aiko19), but that also invalidates all of her wardrobe. I also noticed that new facial morphs for Aiko turns facial expressions to nearly impossible, much harder than with her already clumsy default dials. That pushes me to keep working with old AnimeDoll and her cousing Madoka.

I totally agree with you on the eyes. onold aiko remember her the top heavy one I used to replace eye props. The current a3 one doesn't work so well for that. UI do like belbel she has easy eye map though a bit limited in facial morphs

ken1171 In reply to AreeElf [2006-10-05 00:37:22 +0000 UTC]

That's true, Belbel has limited morphs for us who have been spoiled by the amount of expressions one can create with AD. But by combining my XpressionProp eyes with your own textures, possibilities are endless. Add Aiko's body to it and maybe is Madoka might be best Anime figure out there. And she's a freebie. ^^

Oh, you can find fetish waiteress bars all over the Akihabara district in Tokyo, where they dress up as French maids, j-pop singers and nearly all possible Anime characters one can imagine. It's the modern otaku paradise!

I don't really like living in Japan, so left when I was 18.
Ever since I have lived in many countries and continents.
After a while I decided to settle down in America. ^^

I believe one can only learn how to appreciate what you have by knowing what else exists out there. Living in other countries and learning their cultures and languages is a good way to get to really understand your own culture and values.

ken1171 In reply to YukiYuki [2006-10-04 19:47:25 +0000 UTC]

You may agree with it, but once you go out there and live in a different culture, that's when you will really understand what I mean. This is not something that can be explained with words. You will see when the time comes.

Thanks, you're welcome! MayaX's AnimeDoll (the head you see here) is my all-time favorite Anime figure for Poser. Not only very flexible, but quite rich in expression morphs. Nearly all of my gallery was made using her. ^_^

I know what you mean. I have tried to created an Anime head twice. The 1st attempt was to create a rather Anime stylized head that you can find in my scraps --> [link] and the other one was to create a head that looks like AnimeDoll but has an optimized edgeflow for better expressions, which is also on my scraps here --> [link]

There are many j-pop idols. I have not heard any bad ones... yet. I am sure someone out there would like to hear her anyway. Nice Anna Miller's uniform she is wearing. Man I can't wait to be back there.

ken1171 In reply to KamiBahamut [2006-10-03 21:34:32 +0000 UTC]

I guess the j-pop industry is not necessarily about music, but instead about visuals, attitude, fashion, and ultimately, stage performace. New faces show up every year, while some others will quickly disappear never to be seen again. It's a cruel world out there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Nanoshi In reply to KamiBahamut [2006-10-03 16:47:19 +0000 UTC]

I'm sure they are good artists, it's the music itself we don't like especially.

they probably have angelic voices, but there is only so much j-pop you can take before your head explodes from 'over' cuteness
