No need to say what you’re thinking, I already know. ^^

=blackstorm is to blame for this one, actually… sorta. She makes a very good point that most female anime/manga OCs do not have a lot of variation in their body type- why can’t we have some muscly, strong-looking girls that actually look like they could do some damage, not just in the Helen of Troy way… We tend to get busty girls or less busty girls, and from that there's not a lot difference. How about some more chubby chicks, or muscly ones like Kara?

On a completely unrelated note, I just got another idea for a Bleach OC or ten...

I got to thinkin’, and this is what resulted. Her name is Kara, and she’s Makoto’s paternal aunt, but doesn’t actually know it. Perhaps you can see the slight resemblance? Front view, Kara’s got pretty broad shoulders, like a swimmer’s, and her waist is thick, making her look pretty masculine. Her mask remnant being the lower mandible, it makes her jaw look square and masculine- it’s mirrored on the other side. Hair colour is sorta sandy brown- that shade that’s just a wee bit dark to be called blonde- her skin is mid-tan, and her eyes are a shocking, hot orange colour.

She’s kind of easygoing about her looks, and she’d rather have her own body- which, let’s face it, is pretty useful in a pinch, and much more resilient than that of most other females- than look ‘pretty’. The hair is her only concession to societal strictures, and the only reason she leaves it like that is because quite a few of the men of the Arrancars (in Demon Days at least) also have long hair, so she thinks it doesn’t matter.

She’s also got this alter ego called Miguel- really just Kara acting differently- whom she takes up occasionally- at first it was just for the fun of it, to see how people treat her when they think she’s a man, but it’s grown into something like Usopp’s Sogeking alter ego. Her thoughts and feelings change markedly when she slips into Miguel mode- she becomes more aggressive, rebellious, strong-willed and involves herself more in the goings-on around her. Her IQ also drops somewhat, though only Lumina has figured this out besides Kara herself. Kara defines Miguel as her ‘fight’ instinct, and herself as the ‘flight’ instinct- Kara prefers to avoid confrontation when she is herself.

Theme song is Can’t Be Tamed, by Miley Cyrus… it sorta fits the rebellious theme. Zanpaku-to- I haven’t found the translation yet, but I want it to mean ‘saffron grandmother’ or something like that… Also haven’t decided on it’s powers. I fail…
