This is a classic example of what I have been telling you. My coach would have instantly told me : "Do the background first and work toward the foreground!"
I can sense that you worked on the houses first and then on the sky, that you did the cable poll and then worked on the street, etc.
Most important is the end result. This is a classic rule and rules are made to be broken when properly understood. In your case, you seem to get away fine with it (and no one will complain

Yes, I did the cable poll first and then the street. But actually I did the sky before the houses. After the houses were done I just specified the sky a little bit. (:
