Commission for . A scene from his LBT story, "The Seven Hunters," involving Chomper and fasbiter Ruby!Pushed Chomper's proportions so that he looks a bit older. Really enjoyed working on this one
Kind of reminds me of a shot out of an old werewolf film, with the full moon hanging out back there.

Most Carnivores maybe bad, but not all of them are bad, but they're so Beautiful with their Big, Bright Red Eyes when they can use, they're Big Bright Red Eyes to see, Clearly in the Dark!

Wow fantastic work man! You did an excellent job, capturing the emotions felt in this chapter. Helplessness, desperation, horror and confusion, among other. The shading, colouring, lighting and details are also spectacular.

Usually, but not when he thinks somebody is messing with his friends

Absolutely amazing!Β The emotion on Ruby's face is captured perfectly.Β You can see her confusion... her fear of what she has become... and her fear of her friend.Β She has the look of a being who has been placed into a body that is not her own, which is exactly what has happened.Β Chomper, meanwhile, is completely in predator mode.Β Gone in this moment is the 'freindly sharptooth' and in its place is a predator who is prepared to avenge his friend.Β The red gleam from his nicitating membranes clearly indicate what he has in mind for the 'intruder'.Β The anatomy of both dinosaurs is captured perfectly, with the slight inaccuracies in Chomper's appearance (no dew claws) being well-justified due to this being a Land Before Time drawing.Β The excellent background and the expert use of shadows complete this astonishing drawing.

Thank you! This was really a wonderful scene to work on, and I'm glad it turned out well! The interaction between these two was quite intense. And it was quite interesting to try to achieve the reflective effect in the eyes
As I said to Julian, I did forget the dewclaws, unfortunately! I guess they probably don't draw them on Chomper in the cartoon because he walks with his feet flat on the ground. I'll remember to include them in future drawings!

Jokes aside, this is another scene I remember perfectly, just another intense one. Chomper's immense loyalty to his leaf-eater friends could've turned this scene into quite the fatal outcome, had he not recognized Ruby via her unique way of speaking even in the carnivore language, if I remember that detail correctly.
Now, this turned out really, really good once again! I especially must stress how awesome the night sky looks, but how you are torn between focusing on that and Chomper's murderous gleam in his eyes. Not to mention Ruby's expression.
Literally, the only detail I would've liked to see added were the dewclaws on Chomper's feet, though I understand that LBT isn't really consistent when it comes to anatomical correctness.
