The muted palette with hints of cyan as the purple's complement is a very effective foreground/background mechanism. The sais are beautifully rendered and I like that their size has been increased to rival Kitana's fans. The eyes are lovely, the pose is surprisingly evocative and Mileena's now girlish frame give you a much better sense of her personality than most pieces I've seen; she's got the emotional toolkit and instincts of a child. I agree that the pieces on her forehead could be softened for a more realistic look, however, I enjoy that overall it looks unkempt and maybe even greasy.

We can see an amazing artwork here! The artist shows all the beauty and dangerousness of Mileena. The body proportions are very good, the shading is nice and it gives volume to the drawing, making it even more realistic. Other thing that's interesting is the Sais - look at the metalic shine of the blades! And the weapons' format is awesome and original, looks like that is even more mortal!
I think the artist could work a little more on her face and hair. Giving more movement and lightness to her hair would give a more realistic effect to the drawing! But this is a very good artwork, the Mortal Kombat fans will love this!

Love this pic. I recently did a search of all characters I could think of that wield the sai. Raphael, Elektra and Mileena. This is, by far, the best pic of her I have found (I even have it posted as wallpaper), BUT I think her hands are a little too big.
