I just bought the MK Blu-rays (both, I love me some Annihilation stupidity) and I was watching the first film and I just loved the lighting on the boat scene. So I decided to paint Sonya, my favourite character, as she appeared during this scene. I've never done anything inspired by the movies before so I strived to get the actress, Bridgette Wilson's likeness down as much as I could.As far as video-game-to-movie adaptations go, the first film is probably the second best effort, ever - following the first Tomb Raider. The second is a film barely worthy of SyFy but I still love it.
Bridgette Wilson did a great job playing Sonya. The character's portrayal now is probably hugely influenced by her performance back in '95.

This is without a doubt the best picture of her that I've ever seen. I actually pulled my friends over and they were like yeah it's a movie screencap so what? Then we all just totally starred for awhile. Genuinely I cannot express just how amazing this is. She looks just absolutely perfect.

Lil trivia..the producers of this film wanted Cameron Diaz to be Sonya, but when she broke her wrist during training..they switched to Bridgette Nelson(A far better choice in my opinion). ..Now thinking about that..many of the later scenes in the film makes more sense...

If there were ways to do triple tags, mine would by Sonya with both C.O. partner Jax & questionable love interest Cage (obviously) and likewise, Kitana with either her mother Sindel & best friend Jade or her with the two Shalion monks, ally Kung Lao & on-off love interest--and MK champion--Liu Kang. The reason? I doubt the two top pairings in the franchise would ever try killing each other if this were reality.
