Description
As the forces of light struggle against the Emperor's forces, the realms of Earth and Outworld begin to merge. In cities around the world, Shao Kahn's fortresses burst through the streets. All the world is consumed by fire and ash as the souls of every human are ripped from their bodies and claimed by the Emperor. Earthrealm has shared Edenia's fate.Lol, dramatic much? This started off as me just practising with some cloud brushes for an entirely different painting but the more I played around with it, the more apocalyptic it started to look and I just started turning into Kahn's invasion from MK3 mixed with some elements from the reboot. I always loved the Rooftop stage from MK3 and I was a little disappointed that Kahn's fortress didn't burst through the streets in MK9 but I suppose that wouldn't have fitted with their retconned loophole about merging the realms.

The amount of detail in this is really stunning. Love the fact that there is the supernatural horror of the giant portal opening in the blood red sky. I mean that grabs the attention straight away but can see all the other horrible things going on. The fires on the top floor of the building on the right. Or the lightening in the background and the wreck to the right. Can just tell that this is something awful happening.
Like the fact you can see the MK3 rooftop in there and right away I knew what that was, it looks just perfect. Also the dragons in flight are ace as well. Is hard to draw something as massive and scary as dragons but have them be only a secondary to the main focus of the picture and think you've done that really well.

I WANTED THIS PICTURE TO HAPPEN IN MK9 STORY MODE,NOT THE STUPID PORTAL ON THE ROOF ARENA!!! THIS PICTURE SUMS UP MY CHILDHOOD AND ALL THE HOURS PLAYED IN MK3 ARCADE MACHINE!!! AMAZING <3 <3 <3
