We seem to have a bit of a pigeon problem lately. Pigeons and doves. They're nesting all over the house and attacking people. This is one of the many feathers they've left in the yard.Lighting: 40 watt bulb on a desk lamp

I've been making caligraphy pens for my wife and I out of feathers. I burn them with hot pens to make the designs in the fine hairs and to make the grip. They're really quite beautiful, but they make quite the stink--smells like burnt hair really, lol.

They tend to dive at us and people who come to our front door or when we're in the back yard (cuz some are nesting back there). It's creepy. And you can always hear them making noises and fluttering about.

That's a wonderful close-up and I really like the tone! Also, the fat that it's not perfect (as you can tell by the way it's pulled together a bit) makes it all the nicer.

Yeah, attacked by birds hurts. i was pecked in the back of my head in 10th grade by a little black bird, felt like someone threw a really sharp rock at me. I guess it thought my long black hair was a crow or something attacking it's nest. Sheesh, i was just walking down the street...
