Description I mentioned in my last journal that I had taken a trip to see the fall colors of the US. I only made it to Missouri and back in the 2 weeks but found beauty everyday of my trip. This was Day one about 2 1/2 hours from my home. On I-80 just west of the beautiful town of Truckee, CA you can find Donner Lake and this view, just past Donnor Summit heading east.

That's not too far from me! A couple hours..it has some incredibly beautiful scenery and love the pine trees....the lake looks very nice..wish I had a boat!!

I know! It is a very beautiful view from that overlook! boat would be good too!
