That is awkward... And I am team Finnick... I refuse to participate in debating over meaningless love triangles. -_- Throughout Catching Fire and Mockingjay I was just like "CHOOSE ALREADY, FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!"

Yes I hate love triangles when I was reading catching fire I was like choose gale he's hot and then I'm like but Peeta "proposed" when president snow told him to even though he would have done it himself D: I'd hate to be katniss
Btw when people put finnick with katniss I think she dating a ghost but love triangles make the story interesting like in twilight
Remove the love triangle girl moves into town where it rains a lot
Hunger games
Remove the love triangle and the story is about a televised fight to the death -_-

Haha, I think I would struggle with choosing like Katniss, too, but I also feel that if Katniss had decided on Peeta sometime in Catching Fire, it would have been easier to read Mockingjay without being frustrated with the main character. If that makes sense....
And I wouldn't put Katniss with Finnick. He forever belongs with Annie, even as a ghost. I just liked him the best out of all the male characters.
And I see where you're coming from. Love triangles do add an extra level of tension that would otherwise be missed, but they are also one of the most frustrating plot devices in the world.
