Okay, some people from District 12. From Left to Right: Madge, Katniss' mom, Gale, Prim, Katniss, Haymitch and Peeta. I didn't get some of the other characters I wanted to draw, like Darius or Effie, or Cinna, though... Oh well... Maybe the next drawing, lol. This was kind of a quick sketch, so I hope you guys like it! Gale wasn't drawn nearly as handsome as I wanted him to be... -_- And Haymitch looks kinda weird.The Hunger Games c) Suzanne Collins

this looks sooo great! such a cute pic! weird? well, I think Haymitch looks great! I see how Mrs. Everdeen has a tired/sick face, wich suits her well, and Prim looks so young and kind of scared! Madge does look like she is very feminine and that she lives wealthier than the others - see her clothes and hair! the dress and bow really helped. Katniss looks simple - I mean, she DOES has a simple way of dressing and looking, right? and, well, yeah, I would expect Gale to be prettier, but it's fine. And I gotta say, I loved Peeta!!perfect hair, seriously.

Thank you! I'm glad that you think Haymitch turned out well. I struggle with drawing older people, so he was definitely the hardest to pull off. And you can totally tell where I'm coming from on all the other characters. Katniss is definitely simple, but I've always viewed her as a simple character who was thrust into a more complicated role (if that makes sense, haha). And Gale is another guy I struggle with. In the more anime-ish style of drawing, there's a fine line between hot guys and pretty bishounen-like characters. I was mainly trying to not make him look feminine. Maybe I should go for a more rustic look for him?
