There's a whole lot more options, and the plug-ins are actually plugged in. A lot more variations. I think you'd be well-suited for it. Or, you could feel overwhelmed and quit after a few tries. Don't give up. The only way I ever learned to do anything was by trial and error. Tutorials help. Asking questions of artists I admire helps. But the biggest thing is to just jump in there and tweak the hell out of everything you can. You'll see things start to fall in place. After awhile you begin to understand causal relationships, and your work just keeps getting better, or not.
