Description I tend to keep ED-E around instead of Rex while playing, actually. But, because Dogmeat was such a loyal companion I just couldn't resist taking him with me at least once while going through the game.

I even liked his owner and The Kings remind me of Tunnel Snakes (They RULE!!!!.... I just couldn't help myself).
So, Rex kinda serves me as a substitute for Dogmeat, just like Arcade (I LOVE ARCADE) does for Butch (I LOVE BUTCH ).

I know what you mean! I know Rex does basically nothing for anyone, but, he's just so cute.. And oddly enough, conversations seem just a bit better with him than they do with Boone.. (Boone and Rex are my two favorites, heh)

I like Rex too, but to be honest I prefer to drag ED-E around because that perception perk is really good.
Arcade is my other companion. Me and Boone just didn't really get along well xD
