Hope you like it >.< Anime is the only genre I'm can handle... :sob: Tried doing drawings of a cute dog, but he didn't turn out cute, so he's left unfinished. Wooo.... :sob:
Why the title?
Again, I assumed sunflowers bloom during summer, so there ya go. Flowers of summer
Why did I choose summer? Because I got inspired after watching Air the movie. Wooo.... Such sad anime.... Both series and movie. I can't believe I cried, no matter how many times I watched it. The girl looks sort of like Misuzu, with the blonde hair and the way she tie her hair A little about the drawing
The first successful deviation made out of tablet. Yes, I finally got a damn tablet. Still trying to get use to it though... ;_; I was an idiot thinking if I got a tablet my stuff would look nicer.... TAT Lineart and coloring done in Open Canvas 3.03E (special thanks to for giving me the software. I got 3.05 and it failed me a hell lot of times) and picture editing was done in Photoshop.
What looks wrong
...The eyes. Looks kinda...wrong? XD ...and the lineart, too messy for soft style of coloring but.... I can't help drawing sketchy lines...wooo.....
And the hand... Perspective kinda weird.... And the most wrong thing is...I still love this drawing. Wooo..... :sob: Sorry ...so many weaknesses....

Hmmmm... I think Painter comes with the tablet, so when you get your tablet, it should come with a Painter installation CD as well o.o
LOL like I said, take your time~ BTW, a warning, it takes time to get used to a tablet, it's not as cool as you might think

omg i so love it kazu! i am soo so happy that you did anime for me- I wish that I could draw anime like you do. Please don't be disappointed about the unfinished drawing- I love this so much

Aw, that's so cute...and it's drawn "fantastically," too. You always get your colors right, and your line art is so adorable. I love her eyes...she's so bubbly too. Glad you have a tablet--now I'm officially the only person left using a mouse! Not to mention, with a sore hand...yikes. Hey...do you think you could send me a copy of Open Canvas 3.03E, if possible?

Haha, I don't get my colors right actually. I sorta learn it from your tutorial, color base color first. The I started on the shading, and eventually add some effects here and there until the color comes our right
Huhuuu somehow having a tablet isn't that great. Always thought that if I have a tablet, I have to sort of like raise my standard a little higher. Mouse artists always earned my full respect. Some of them actually does coloring better than tablet users o.o

I saw a tablet today and it was a hundred bucks...I wish I didn't have to buy school books, because I might have bought it. Oh yeah, and thank you so much (!) for the OC program...if I get a tablet, I will use it to draw...but I'll always color in photoshop, because I don't know how to use OC...Heh. ^_^
