Description
Another of the Shinigami Pinup series.Wish me luck - I need to get this completely done in about a week and a half at the MOST!
If anybody has any ideas for the background, do tell me! It'll be a wall, rather like the one in the picture if Ichigo, but like the Ichigo picture, I want to add something to it so that it suits Renji personally. Any ideas?
Anyway, just a work-in-progress pic so you can see how the project is going. This will get scrapped once I put the finished version up. Hope you like it!
Renji is from Bleach and belongs to Kubo Tite.

why not have him in his home standing in front of one of those japanese rice paper fold up screens,and the screen is covered with pictures of autumn leaves. it looks like he just woke up and got outta bed...maybe have a messy bed in the backround......i think dark red/brown hardwood floors would look kinda neat.....past that, i got nuthin' as far as ideas go

I don't know if you've started on the background yet... but I just thought that something around the lines of the shikai or bankai release of his Zabimaru might work too... Though a baboon..... I remember I laughed my ass off when I saw it. >.<;;
Anyway, I -really- look forward to seeing him, cause he's definitely my favorite in the Bleach series

Well, the background's STILL not done, but at least it's in-process now! I'm trying my best to do a graffiti of Zabimaru, with the design looping across the wall, and the blade sections stretched out. It doesn't look great yet, but I'm hopeful!
*ponders* Not sure how I'd work in the baboon... I laughed really hard when I saw that too!

man, i'm all over this one. he's definitely my fav in the series so far!
i have no idea what his personality is like but here's an idea: put in front of something like a chainlink fence. that could probably work for any of them really, but i've always thought that when done correctly that can be the coolest background.

Hrm. Chain link could probably work pretty well for Renji... he is sorta that kind of guy. I wonder if I could make that work with the wall behind him somehow...? (there will be a wall, just like with the picture of Ichigo)

you could have the wall behind the fence if there's good distance. that could be handled by the way you do lighting and the fence could cast a shadow down low on the wall in such a way that shows an alley's worth of space. maybe the wall behind the fence could have the same grungy look as ichigo's but instead of having his name in graffiti it could have some random other detail on it like an old poster.
...does that help, or have you already started coloring the background?

That *does* help - I've got Renji himself almost done now, but I still haven't done anything to the background. I want to keep all the backgrounds in the series *fairly* similar (almost as if all the guys posed for their pinup shots in front of the same wall), but I do like the fence idea - I may end up working that in somehow. Thanks again!
