~BlackHorseWords had this mare with her for the past ten years of her life. this poor mare fell blind and in order to keep her having a good life and not cause her to struggle they had to make the difficult decision of saying good bye to her and putting her down. She was put down two days ago - Thursday, July 12th.

She asked me, along with a few other fellow artists to make a memorial for her. I hope I did her some form of justice.

Like... 6+ hours on this.
Because the stock was so low quality I had to draw a lot of the horse's features back in.

I love the tail. But I hate the mane. I seemed to have just collapsed on that when I did it. Then went back in with the tail and was like "perfect..." and it happened?
I don't know
either way I know this isn't perfect. And I know I'm emotionally screwed up because all I could think about while doing this was my half-blind mare that I lost when I was like eight or nine. And then the other... five-six horses (at least) i lost within a three year span of that. I tried to make this perfect. I tried to make this good. I tried to make it something she'd want to see. I tried to be a better friend than I've been being...
