he is!! The pair or a relative made a nest in the same place last year, so I was happy to see this one with stuff in his beak I love seeing them when the wisteria is all decked out with the purple blooms!

I can't wait for the hummingbirds to return and oh oh, and I saw my first song sparrow today!

RUTH, I'm getting a D700 a week from Monday, I'm so excited (and will be broke).

Our hummers are getting feisty! There is definitely lots of male territory fighting going on And your sparrows are back means spring is almost there!! We have had hoards of robins in the yard this past week - only while it was gray and raining, of course

Well hubby is paying half so it's not so bad.

Geez, we won't see ours until around June, lucky you!

Figures! I haven't seen a robin yet, can't wait to hear one, that will really be a true sign of spring.

We must be on the migration path for the robins because I never see just one - always a half dozen or more and only rarely!

I've been good about keeping the feeders filled, but I haven't had as many photo ops this year - one of the down sides of having more feeders: they're not fighting for the same one now...

Neat! I saw a picture in a magazine once where there were like 20 of them crowded in a bird bath, it was great!

I didn't know they eat seeds but I heard they love raisins.

I worry about them when they come back too early and the ground is still frozen because they eat mainly worms.

lol, we got our birds mixed up I switched to hummer feeders...robins like raisins? now that is odd! and you're right about the worms and grubs which is probably why they were out in such numbers while it's been raining! Seeing 20 at a bath must have been a wonderful sight We've got a plastic fountain type pond thingee that we're going to set up this spring - I hope the birds come
