Ummm one of the little lakes up in Crystal Basin area - we went left at the top of the hill instead of going straight onward toward Big Hill and into the the main road...we were just following the roads so I really have no idea

it is about an hour from my home up further into the mountains - Large is a very subjective word when you talk about lakes It is bigger than some around here but it is also smaller When my husband first moved down south with me he called several of what were labeled lakes, Ponds...Lake Piru?!?? That's Pond Piru

when i moved to New Mexico everyone called the communities here cities
coming from New York, i thought they looked more like Pueblos
Lakes to Ponds to Puddles who can keep up
...

thanks for the compliments! I'll have to admit I just stopped in the middle of the road on top of the dam and snapped off a couple shots...but I had been eyeing just "where" I was going to stop

This was on Saturday of Memorial Weekend...I bet that it was a lot busier on Monday - everywhere else was!!

I only very occationally use a tripod...mostly because I do the majority of my shooting while hiking or walking on my way somewhere and I don't bother with it...I SHOULD use it more

(But I've gotten pretty good at leaning on things )

the original will go to that no problem...what size should I usually put up? I'm only doing the 1240 x 800 (or whatever it is) because that was what I was first asked for...I'll get to it soon as I get through yesterday's hike (we went with two other deviants who live kind of close and then had a bar-b-que - it was the first time I've filled my memory card Going on a shooting safari meant I took a LOT more photos than usual and I'm shooting raw much more now and it hogs memory time for a bigger card ) but that means I haven't even gotten to look at all of them yet let alone "process" them...

I made myself a note
