Description A Cape Buffalo vacantly stared at us in our 'safari jeep' - taken at the Safari West animal preserve in Santa Rosa California.

I wasn't sure how to categorize this but chose 'wild animals' even though this is in a free range animal preserve, research showed that these have not been domesticated like their Asian cousins...

Yeah, not only not domesticated, but very, very dangerous, as well. They're always in the Top 10 most dangerous animal lists, sometimes the Top 5, depending on who put the list together. I don't see this as a vacant stare. To me it looks like he's staring right through the lens, saying "You don't want any piece of this boy. Keep moving." And it's a great shot.

LOL, yes, I agree it is more of a 'move along' but I got a series of the 'cud' chewing and this one made me laugh as I've seen it on the faces of a few of the cows near my home I was glad that I was using a telephoto though... the herd didn't seem bothered by us but we were NOT allowed to get out of the jeep
