Arches within the Civil War era Point Fort at the entrance to the San Francisco bay...we were lucky to be there on a sunny day but the green moss shows how often it is surrounded by fog!'s view

we don't know what it was - for sure not a shadow...there are holes like some curved part was bolted to the floor. In a couple other areas there are replica cannon set up so it might have been the swivel for the gun to move upon to shoot out the windows at different angles
