Yes I turned 20 Monday and yes I made myself the geekiest cake I could
And I absolutely love all things Zelda! I have never attempted to decorate a cake before in my life but I just wanted something memorable for this birthday- and after 12 hours making this thing I'm sure as hell gonna remember it. Only problem was I didn't want to eat it after!!
LOLTechnical bit:
The actual cake is sponge which I dyed green and the filling is actually homemade rice-crispy cake, and the decoration is just regular ready made icing (had to mix the right colours though).
I hear now there is something which is easier to use for decoration than icing... it was really hard to work with the regular icing cause it kept drying out and cracking or being too sticky, I used sooo much icing sugar and made such a mess haha
This cake is actually quite small only about 25cm across- if that.
Please feel free to give me your opinions
should I attempt more cakes, or should I save my kitchen from the mess of me baking?? haha

Wow. I made a Zelda cake once. Not like this. Mine was just the triforce. I didn't get to eat it though. All because it was for school and I didn't win it. Or any of the many cakes there. Darn. I sure hope the person who did win my cake enjoyed it.
