This piece is quite beautiful. I love the detail and smooth texture of the wood for the box. The heart is absolutely grotesquely beautiful, and I don't mean grotesque in a ugly way. It has texture, dimension, a scar, holes, a literal growth of foliage, and the clasp grabbing it. It is all beautifully done, keep up the great work.

This is simply stunning. The wood and locks are very realistic. They certainly trick the eye. The heart almost appears on fire. It's a bright, gorgeous blend of reds and oranges. It was the first thing that drew me to the piece. I love all of the different elements in the heart as well. Things you do not notice on the first take. Like the new growth in the corner, or the thorns and scars. This piece, for me, speaks of several messages. It's bright, but dark. Beautiful work

So realistic! But fantastical at same time. At first I thought this was assemblage art.  Great job.

-A withered old heart locked up in a box afraid of opening from all the abuse it's taken from over the years, and yet someone or something opened the box and is now giving slight healing or looking at this poor heart. It's one of many.
-That's the vibe I get from looking at this piece, and it is so beautifully painted. All the woods lines stick out nicely and the shading on everything is magnificent!!  For being a painting, everything is so well mixed together and there's no bleeds or anything!! It must have been pretty difficult to get all those small details in there, I know how paint just hates to cooperate sometimes!
-I love everything, but at the same time, I can't help but to think that the boxes in the background would be darker to make the box the heart is in stick out by it being brighter. Same with the area right behind the heart, that would be darker. HOWEVER I wouldn't change what you did! Those are just thoughts I had while looking at it, that I wanted to share with you.
-I hope i get to see more of your paintings in the future, this was truly amazing to look at
