And now for the actual model sheet for my new NSK character! Introducing Axle, alias Casey "Crash" Tailor!

Currently there aren't as many male SWAT Kats on the team as there are females... there's probably two females for every male. Otherwise, I would've made another female character. Just hope I get the hang out of drawing a male character. For a while I was kinda stuck for an alias for him, until my Dad turned on one of the Beverly Hills Cop movies and I heard "Axel." Crash is a stuntkat specializing in cars and such, so I thought that'd work out great, except I'm spelling it like a car axle.

But anyway, male superhero costumes aren't quite as creative as females', so it was really hard figuring out what I'd wanna do and without copying off another male NSK character. What we've got on Axle is a jacket with the triangle logo on each sleeve, kat head logo on his chest. Underneathe he's wearing a black tank top (do they call 'em tank tops for guys?), red belt with the kat logo on the buckle. His pants are normal, except for the red stripes along the side (thanks to Nee Knight aka for helping me think of 'em. Luvs 'n hugs), and black boots with red laces and trimmings. Not too bad, but I've done better boots.

We also have the details of both the costume and on Axle himself. In the upper left corner is a close up of one of Axle's ears, showing off the black tip. In the upper right corner is Axle's back showing the rattail hair style. Here I did both braided and unbraided. Not sure if the length difference is spot-on, but oh well. In the lower left is Axle without his jacket, so we can see his top and belt in better detail. I started drawing his full head, but it wasn't cooperating with me, so I cut it off. Don't worry, he'll live. And in the mid-right, I may have gone overboard a bit drawing, neh? What can I say, I ran out of room. We get to see most of the glove anyway along with the details. Pretty sharp, huh? And in the lower right corner is a detailed shot of the back of his jacket and his "bunny" tail. Why? 'Cuz he's a manx and manxes have those kinds of tails. I would've gone with no tail, but had to be more realistic.

I really hope I end up liking Crash/Axle, but I'm planning to continue making Sky/Pierce my main character and she'll continue making appearances in my art. Let's face it; she's just too cute to ignore.
