Description Ahh, challenge time, challenge time in the NSK again. This time around it's another "Fight A Villain" challenge, but the villains are out to lunch, so they have the minions to terrorize the peoples. One of the rules for this challenge is, if we participated in the last "Fight A Villain" challenge (which I did), we could not fight the same minions again. So, no Plantimals or Female Pilots for me. That leaves me with Kreeplings and Ninjas provided by Dark Kat, or the Mummy Guardians from the episode "Deadly Pyramid." I chose the latter.

I made another comic this time around, and decided to give my newer NSK char Crash some spotlight. I've got another page in the sketching stages, so there's hopefully more to be done before the deadline Saturday the 7th... unless it's extended. Oh, yeah, and something you had to do is incorperate cheese into the art in some way... here, we have cheese on the pizza. :3

In this comic, Crash and his girlfriend Kida Matthews are at some classy pizza place that's a few stories up. Crash is "Taste-testing" the pizza for Kida, who comments she wants him to have plenty of "fun fuel" for later, wink-wink. Suddenly a giant mummy comes stomping into the scene carrying a bank building, missiles and bullets flying through the air. Kida comments on how she's seen everything now, and Crash dashes off to change.

Those two were made for each other, I swear! They're both so mellow and non-chalant, even a giant mummy appearing in their window doesn't freak 'em out! Kida is just surprised and Crash is annoyed. Originally I was gonna have Kida be all "Doesn't this strike you as odd, Casey?" And Crash responding (while drinking his drink) "I grew up in this city; not much phases me anymore." Guess I chose against it.

Anyway, it's my first comic with computer-made talking bubbles. I'm happy. Took me a while to get them to fit together properly, but it works. Another note being that I actually drew their eyes in pencil rather than ink, as the ink usually bleeds onto the paper more than I like, and it messes it up. So, I fix it up in the art program. I still prefer Adobe...

Anyway, until the next page, Crash belongs to me
Kida belongs to
And the Mummy is copyrighted to Hanna-Barbera.
