Here is this year's christmas card design for my family, featuring Wolfy! (of course) I had a general idea of what I wanted to do, but my mom basically told me what she wanted to see specifically in this piece. I tried to work this from an illustrator's standpoint, going through thumbnails and colour studies and whatnot... I think it turned out well overall. I did struggle with making it look like he was looking out a window without showing the window frame itself, but I don't think I could have "zoomed in" as much as my mom wanted if I showed the window frame.I put more effort into this christmas card design because I wanted to show off my art skills to my family.

I'm going to donate the framed original to Eskie rescuers United: [link] if they will take it. If not, I'm going to try and sell it myself and donate the proceeds to them directly.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought "That looks like an American Eskimo!"
I had to look closer because it was so adorable and it reminded me of my dog (who was an Eskie).
You definitely captured the expressions Eskimos have. Very cute!

I stayed at home for that very same reason; my eskie. School was close enough for me, and my mom is the greatest woman on earth, and has been helping me by not charging rent for so long. I bet your eskie is happy where they are. ^^

magnificent! Great background and colors and who wouldn't fall in love with that face? My havanese get that same expression waiting for their grandpa to come home and give them their nightly treats. Love it.

I refrenced it for a christmas present I'm painting my mom. She likes small dogs like eskies and I want to get her one eventually, but I thought a painting of one would be a good starter XD I'll show it to you when I'm finished. Though, it won't be nearly as good as the original <3
