Aww Nila, my pride and joy. I've been planning to give her a major makeover for quite some time now. I realized that before I start making flashback comic pages, unaffected by the harsh Underground lighting and contrast, it's the last chance for me to make any changes. I switched almost all colors except for marker, hooves and eyes. Now I hope she resembles the champagne she's supposed to be. Now she's not so damn yellow. I probably should remove the dark points too, but I'm too used to them.

ABILITY: No psychic powers [unlike Pella], but once she harmonized with her own elemental force, she gained the power to bend the underfoot to her will - that includes opening fissures, causing massive earthquakes and making the ground erupt wherever she wants, the latter being really deadly - ground exploding under someone's legs can heavily startle the opponent, and if performed in a mountaineous area, it may trigger a rock slide in addition.
The elemental force flows through her legs, so all those actions require standing on the ground surface. However, due to the damage all of it leaves, she refuses to use it unless she absolutely must [situations of life threat - Penelopa's, her friends', or her own].
PERSONALITY: Always truthful. Judicious. Sarcastic. Extremely loyal to her system of values. Introverted. Clear eyed. Not afraid to speak her mind. Thinks twice before acting. Might be unkind to those she considers strangers, but once she gets to know them, she changes her attitude completely. After escaping from Irgon's captivity, she became deadly scared of stallions [especialy heavily built ones], closed spaces, and the colour black, if there's too much of it around her. [ironically, her own marker bears that color]

OTHER: Outcast; her own mother banished her from her homeland for accidental breaking an unspoken yet greatly respected law of Qajarian tribes [specifically, unintentional killing her own father, when her elemental force got out of control]. Lived as a fugitive for years, before befriending another loner and getting a chance to live normally and hold her head up high.
Several years later, she travelled to the North, wanting to witness the sight of the legendary lake Tinuva of Aziranaar. Unfortunately, she was clueless that meanwhile a war was going on between Aziranaar, and Qajar itself. Thus, she got captured and exiled to Northern Underground, prior to a terrible coincidence. Insisted on revealing the truth from the very beginning, however doing so only worsened her situation, when, against her will, she was kept in the Underground for yet another two months, being forced to become a vital part of Irgon's new Qajar takeover strategy. [in order to create and use a hybrid that would possess Qajarian sturdiness and demon psychic abilities, Irgon restrained and subjected her to violent physical assault and rape, until impregnating her]. Heavily pregnant, managed to escape eventually - a bitter, reoriented creature completely confused what's what in Arthanai, not knowing who actually can be trusted, and ready to instantly kill any stallion that would try to get near her. Yet, she was still alive...
Barely made her way to her old homeplace, and, under her friend's care, lived on, terrified and disgusted of the intruder growing inside her. Gave birth to Penelopa several months later. Although the time flow and help of her old friend slightly healed her emotional scars, she never regained her usual pride, ability to face all odds, and inner balance.
She raises her child a bit severely [after getting convinced to keep her alive in the first place], but nonetheless there is a strong bond growing between those two. While having her role as a mother accepted and fulfilled as well as she can, Nila still keeps in memory the past happenings, secretly seeking opportunity of revenge on Irgon for all her sufferings. At the same time, she tends to care deeply for her relatives and close ones, despite her usually cold exterior.
