He suffers from sleep deprivation sometimes. When living in space and interacting with different worlds that use various time systems, it's tricky to keep up a proper sleeping schedule.
And then there are those things on his head. They're called [Raks'van] and make him feel even the smallest tremors around him - a slightly impractical skill combined with sleep issues.
