Hiiiii! It's been a while since the last time I drew something (yet alone of Yu-Gi-Oh) so now that I took one or two days off my thesis because of 15th August I decded to try to draw something to see if I remember how it is done!

It's not so bad actually!

Anyways why Yami is a Kitsune (Fox Demon)? Well that was a random idea actually! If you remember my fanfiction Distant Wisteria which I posted both here and fandiction site, I had another random idea in mind in which Yami was another mythological creature and I thought about choosing Kitsune!

Name: Yami

Race: Kitsune (Fox Demon)

Height: 1.60 m.

Weight: 58 kg.

Powers/Abilities:

Yami is a Kitsune, one of the most powerful creatures in folklore. His powers combine a large variety of tricks and magic which he usually uses for his own personal amusement rather than doing actual harm. Yami is a trickster to the bone; often playing pranks on innocent passer-by people, making them see things that are not there, leading them to mushy grounds where their feet or carts get stuck so he amuses himself with their effort (without hurting them further of course). Often uses his powers to steal money from passer by people and buy himself some sake.

He might shape-shift to play with someone, often taking the forms of a beautiful woman to seduce some thirsty passing man and tricking them into giving him gifts, money or even food and drink. He might as well do it for fun because he wants some fun in bed and so he seduces another creature to satisfy his cravings.

He can maintain mainly two primary forms. His Human Form and his True Form (which is the form of a fluffy fox). When he is in human form, he can maintain it theoretically for as long as he wants but he might mess up his transformation so his tail begins to show under his clothes (that might as well apply whenever he is shape-shifting in any kind of form).

Yami as a Kitsune has a general immortality and long livity. Every 100 years he is supposed to grow a new tail (till he reaches the maximum power of 9 tails when he reaches is 1000th year).

Kitsune are creatures of fire so when he fights a creature of water (for example a dragon) he might find himself at disadvantage but he generally avoids conflict if he can help it. Water has also the capability of reflecting his True Form in it so Yami avoids water ponds whenever he is transformed so that the victim he intends on playing with, won't look at his reflection in it.

His weaknesses being holy incense (which smell he cannot stand) and holy seals which might bind him in one place if he is not careful. He apparently has weakness into pronouncing certain words, common feature for his race of creature. He also hates dogs because they bark really hard when he is close, as they can sniff him out (he adores cats though).

His favorite food, like most Kitsune is fried tofu. He hates awfully smelly stuff because they tingle his sensitive nose.

Appearance: Yami is dressed in a black Kimono (inspired in a way from Yato/Yaboku's kimono: www.dhresource.com/0x0s/f2-alb… ) and joori without wearing any shocks. He likes wearing his kimono open. He also has a small and light haori falling over his head. He also wears a bell around his neck (which I forgot to draw )

His eyes are crimson of color but glow amber-yellow when he uses his powers. He has fox ears instead of human ears when he is not fully-transformed and he leaves his tail under his clothing when he wants to stay cool (I have drawn the ears but I am sorry they are not visible)

Story:

The story I had in mind for this was something like a mixture of Inuyasha and Dororo etc. With some taste of Gugure Kokkuri-San

Yugi Muto was a young fellow who lived at the suburbs of Domino City close to a shinto shrine. One day he entered the Shrine at a mysterious day and accidentally fell into a well that was actually created within the shrine. He finds himself hundreds of years in the past in Feudal Japan. While he was wandering all alone in the forest he almost got tricked by the trickster Yami the Kitsune but the two of them became close friends when Yugi showed his kindness at Yami.

Soon Yugi along with Yami, the gamble and alcohol-loving Tanuki, Jounouchi Katsuya and the serious and strict Dragon Kaiba Seto, Yugi gets involved in a great adventure in the heart of old Japan, facing all kinds of Yokai/Demons and magical creatures while trying to find a way to return back home to his original era. Throughout his journey though he finds himself more and more attatched to his new friends but also begins to discover some dark secrets about Yami's world that he never thought about...

Okay that's the story! I have thought stuff of it but not sure if I will create it just yet. Maybe I will though. Some of the info listed here are from Japanese folklore and such while others are inspired by several anime.

Now why a Kitsune? Well because they are trolls and yet they are also some of the most powerful creatures out there so...yup! Hahahahaha!
