An experiment: I did the line-art for this on paper (with which I am pleased), in order to try out digital colouring a bit more. Because I've been re-reading (for the millionth time) the Discworld Watch books, and oddly I've never done much Discworld fanart though I think Pratchett is just about a god, I chose a 'Feet Of Clay'-inspired scene.

Professionally I've been doing nothing BUT colouring with Photoshop for weeks, but in a very different style _ I wondered if I could get a version of my own style but via computer...

Anyway, I don't think it's really working out so I'll probably abandon it at this stage though there are many details not yet worked on. I thought the line-art made it worth posting up. If anyone thinks they can make a better go of it, I'm happy to provide a png of the drawing

This version of Whirligig Street (just off Easy Street, if I remember) is influenced a bit by Brick Lane (hence all the... brick). Partly because I think that part of London is very Ankh-Morpork, and partly because I guess thinking about grisly murders inevitably draws the mind towards East London... but mainly because I love the thing of having Dwarvish street signs below the Morporkian ones in the way the street signs in the Brick Lane area all have Hindi translations.
