I really like how the paladin armor is breaking off. It kind of reminds me of a snake (which is a bit weird to think of but okay,) shedding its old skin to reveal new scales...

Well not having his mother in his life gave him abandonment issues, finding out he was part Galra gave him identity issues, neither of which do much for your sense of self worth. Really the only two characters who I think could should be able to compete with him in terms of mental trauma would have to be Shiro and Allura.
