Here's a sneaky preview that I just got the urge to share with you .. this is the tree I drew for the cover of A Midsummer Night's Dream, but because of the other details you can hardly see any of the details of this tree any more - so I figured I'd share it here.. just to whet some appetites before the final cover is revealed

I love drawings of big old trees, and the flowers and dawn/dusk coloring make it look so majestic. And cherry blossoms!

I've not really drawn too many trees before.. but this was certainly an experience! .. fun to start with, and then when I got about half way through I really regretted putting such a high level of detail in it

that and on the actual cover the tree is almost 90% covered with other characters! Lol .. you'll see what I mean when we're finally allowed to post it!

Hmm. I know the picture of the tree is already pretty clear, but do you have any of the drafts with JUST the tree, and that's it? Because I'd actually like to see it with all its details, if you've got the draft lying around somewhere.

I think Puck was drawn onto the same sheet as the tree, but I could find the line-art, if that's what you're after?

hey thanks hun! it's just a shame all that detail is lost in the cover, but I'm not too bothered, cos the cover itself looks bbeeeyyuuuttiful (Jason did a bang up job of colouring it up!) .. I can't wait to show THAT off!
