I figured you've probably got sick of looking at photos of my cacky mouch, so here's a piece of artwork for once!I drew this last week for my Sister's birthday.. for those of you who know me and my family, this should need little explanation.
For those of you who dont; this is a family portrait, featuring (top fo bottom) my Mother, my Sister, my Brother and me at the bottom. This is almost a film poster of our personas exagerated to make us almost like heroes, my mother's a keen gardener, my sister's an excellent climber, my brother's very strong and very sociable and I... draw.. obviously
I don't really want to say too much more about this piece as it's obviously very personal to me, but I will say that it took aages to do!! About a week's planning (on and off) and an incredibly 24 hours to draw (yes, I stayed up all night!).. making it the longest drawing in my collection, beating the second longest (Lucifer in the Laburnum which I thought was bad enough, taking 10 hours!!). This was great to do, and I loved getting the chance to draw agian, but I wont be doing that again in a hurry!

Sounds like you're suffering from a bit of an art block at the moment! Sorry to hear that, I hope you can pull yourself out of it soon! let me know if I can offer you any tips!
You're totally right about the car, you know! I knew it at the time (as it's the only piece I copped out of drawing, and got my partner to sketch in for me!) I'm really terrible at drawing cars (and machinary in general) but it's really out of scale and very small/squashed - (mainly cos I didn't want the car to fill the whole picture!) but it does look odd indeed! Also Jase chose to draw a very plane underside, when I imagined it I expected to see more of the cars "workings" as it where.. but I really don't know enough about cars to question it... - plus I wasn't about to ask him to change it when he'd been kind enough to help in the first place!
