update: Now available as a Christmas card!Niveus Nox, or "Holly" as she is sometimes called by her friends, has the delightful duty of giving the snowflakes their individuality as they fall from the heavens. The snowflakes start out all looking the same, bland, plane and white balls of frost, but when Niveus if finished with them they become beautifully crafted mini-masterpieces. She swirls around the sky at such speed that she often whips up the snow into quite a frenzy, but you can only catch a glimpse of her at night time, if you're really observant, because only then can her pale complexion be spotted against the dark night sky.
Drawn straight into biro on the train on the way home on Sunday night & colored up today, this is my entry into ~Cerzz 's "A Fantasy-tastic Christmas" competition. I wanted something with a similar feeling to it as my Hope piece.. but more Christmassy, of course!
Colouring her today I realised that Holly's character design here is probably sub-consciously influenced by the wonderful work of =ultravioletbat - especially the patterning on the wings... oh, and head's up to ~jasoncardy for the star-field, yet again!
I hope you all have a very merry festive season, and enjoy the company of family and friends, whether you celebrate Christmas or not.

It was only after I colored the image up that I remmebered ultraviolet's character has spirals on the wings... [link] (watch out, nekkidness) ... not totally the same but still might have subconsciously efffected my descision to put them in there

He is yes but he's an artist too. Lots of Illustrative work. I can't seem to find any in the style I mean online though.

I'm doing cartoon post cards of my sisters family with name meanings, and a calendar with photos of her family on each month.

well done you, you sound very organised!! I have got immediate family and house-mates mostly sorted but that's all o.O your gifsts all sound like lovely ideas
You can by all means have an address, but I must just let you know that I don't really do christmas cards (I tend to do an e-mail message out to everyone, because I think buying shop-bought cards is a bit of a waste of money/not great for the environment, so I'd rather give the money to charity instead or something, hand made/more personal cards are another matter entirely of course

I agree totally I don't buy specific cards for people. I just get a charity box and that does the job. Sustainable sources is preferable too.
I'm happy to send an ecard though.
By the way the new Sigur Ros album is probably my years favourite. Highly recommend it!
I felt Paulo's mail this time was very moving too.
