Another Drama poster. I'm not in this one, this is a proper production at the Melbourne Art's Centre, the poster will be up there soon I'm told... Anyway, Mr Dunn (my drama teacher who's production it is) is gonna stick all the title and stuff on it himself which is why it's just a pretty picture at the moment...sorry about the ugly writing, haven't worked out how to do that watermark thing yet, but... eh...

EDIT: People have been asking who they are. Well Kurt Cobain obviously, and there's Janis Jopplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and I can't remember who the other person is... I'll have to go and check but I'll get back to you (if it helps, whoever it is, they died at 27 lol)

okay, so.. i know who all of these people are for sure because i'm a huge fan of the 27 club.
the big one is of course Kurt Cobain.
and then from left to right on the bottom would be Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, and Jimi Hendrix.
i could tell you how they all died and everything, but.. i just read through a few of your comments and felt the need to tell you exactly who was in your drawing. lol.
it is a great piece of art, by the way.
i like the contrast and they way you put it all together.

you're welcome. how did the play go? that's pretty interesting.. i read that it was a play you were drawing this poster for.. but.. i'm curious about it. lol. what was the play for?
i think the poster looks great, and it's very unique.. you can find a lot of pictures like this one out there.. but you'll see a lot of the same photos being used.. i like the photos that were used for this poster =].

It was a long time ago for a production company (NuWorks), but not the one I own (BOGAN Productions). I think it went well. I know NuWorks took it to a few festivals

Ooooh!! I figured out who all of them are. Sorry, I was just going through your gallery and I looked at this one annnnnd... BANG!! I just like knew who almost everyone was. The order from left to right is
Janis Jopplin, Jim Morrison (lead singer of The Doors. I have noooo clue why I thought he would even be anyone else but him. Steven Tyler? Mick Jagger? I wonder how much sugar I had that day...), Kurt Cobain, Dunno this one... I thought it was Roger Waters but he inn't dead, and JIMI!!... Hendrix.
Soo sad they were all such good musicians. 'Specially Jim and Jimi. (Haaahaaa, Jim and Jimi. Teehee)

OH!!!! It's Brian Jones, it's Brian Jones!! I never woulda known without the died at 27 hint. How could I be soo dumb, of course it was him because there's a group of Musicians who all died at 27.
Kurt Cobain, who supposedly killed himself (Yea, riiiiight. And my name is Bobert. It was totally Cortney Love)
Janis Jopplin, who [link] on one of the things that DON'T belong in your body (heroine)
Jim Morrrison, who was found dead in his bathtub still has an unkown cause of death. Some say that he never died though considering the only people who ever saw him 'dead' were his girlfriend of the moment and the doctor she called. No one knows who that doctor was and his girlfriend commited suicide.
Brian Jones, who was also found dead in a body of water (his swimming pool in this case) also has a unknown cause of death. Some say he [link] some say he was killed.
And Jimi Hendrix, who maybe had the most cruel death, choked on his own vomit after an over-dose of sleeping pills.
It's all kinda depressing since they were all such legends...

courtney didn't kill kurt.. lol. have you ever read kurt cobain's suicide note? he shot himself in the face after he injected more than enough heroin to kill himself. there is a lot of speculation about it though.. whether or not he'd be able to function enough to shoot himself, but kurt used heroin pretty often.. his tolerance to it was probably really high.
jim morrison died of heart failure.. but there was never an autopsy performed. so there's no actual evidence of the real cause of death. some say this, some say that.. you know.. whatever. but i don't believe any of it. far as i know, while he was in paris, he started to clean up his act.. i think he probably tried to stop drinking. he was a heavy, heavy drinker.. and i think the withdrawal probably killed him. that's just my opinion. and i like how you put "girlfriend of the moment" lol.. that was actually his common-law wife, pamela courson. she overdosed on heroin and also died when she was 27, just a couple years after jim's death.

when kurt cobain was younger, like a teenager or something, he actually told his sister about how he wanted to join the 27 club.
he probably told courtney that too.. which, no doubt, had to have really messed with her head.. especially after he killed himself.

Did you base them on Classic Rock Singers? 'Cause the one that's like huuge and in the background looks a bit like David Gilmore from Pink Floyd or maybe Kurt Cobain. The one whose like screaming into the Mic. looks like Mick Jagger or maybe Steve Tyler form Aerosmith. The two ones in the right corner are for sure Jimi Hendrix and Roger Waters. I don't know who the girl is though... If I'm completly imagining things excuse me but ever since I saw the Rolling Stones Concert I've been like even more obsessed with Classic Rock, Pink Floyd is my all time favourite band so of course I recongnise Roger and who doesn't know what Jimi looks like? If I am right but got the People wrong I'd love to know who they are. ^-^
