Fantastic! I like how you did the red shading, it contrasts very nicely with the white background, gives it a very intense feel (heck, I can almost see this guy pulling a sword act or something!).

Nice portrait. Personally I think the eyes and nose are most distinct. I'm thinking of doing a monochromatic picture too.

Been using a mechanical pencil with Pentel red leads to do my
sketches lately.
I also used a HB pencil and used orange and red colour pencils.

characters in realistic way,i usually fail
