I think this is a Sonic-based oc. Because of that I decided to put a yellow ring in the background. I've played and watched my brothers played the game before. I'm not very good at Sonic games. It's fun to speed run through loops and catch those rings though. ^^

Anyway, on to the technicalities. He wanted me to draw her showing off her blue pyrokinesis powers. With this piece, a lot of challenges arose. The pose was quite difficult and I wasn't really sure how to color black leather for the boots and gloves. So I hope it looks okay. The thing I had the hardest time coloring was the fire and its lighting. Oh my gosh, couldn't have done it without referencing.

Love the expression on her face. It brings out the fun mood. The bright colors help a lot for that too. I really like how you colored her hair. It's always so well done. Really like how you paid attention to the light highlights from the blue flame. I'm surprised that you drew her legs thick. You usually have them long and skinny.

Thank you! At first when I was coloring the flames, I didn't think about the light reflected on the skin until I googled some images and referenced that for coloring. So helpful. I think her legs turned out thick because she was supposed to be somewhat foreshortened otherwise it would have been skinnier. I know I like to draw my people long and skinny.
