He’s got the Rick & Morty pupil! He’s been like that since he was a younger bird... he’s older now (30) vet said it’s brain injury or weakening optical muscles . Sometimes when a bird flies into a wall or window they can damage nerves in the head, or orbits. Or it could be a like you said, a genetic oddity.

He's so cute. I love these parrots because they're just so smart...the petshop where I used to live has one and I used to just stand there talking to it. Birds are really awesome pets but they need a lot of time and love, of course

thanks! he's our 30-yr old baby boy and will be forever and ever. yes have both love and time to give - he's very needy and a real special snowflake! LOL we wouldn't want him any other way

Of course not😊 I have two budgies and I love them so bits...even if they do poop on my keyboard. 😅 It's interesting how little birbs can have such distinctive personalities...taking care of birbs is definately worth it and very rewarding😊also, nice profile pic😊

yes they surely do! and some of the biggest personalities are packed into the littlest bodies - some of my families' budgies and lovebirds and conures
were as wild and crazy as the rowdiest cockatoos and caiques, or as feisty as the broodiest hens!

He’s currently sitting on the bathroom faucet singing beautiful* love songs to his “girlfriend”, a small plastic water bottle. They are inseparable and he calls her Beeku-beeku
*beautiful is in the ears of the beholder so your mileage may vary

He knows, and trust me he takes full advantage of this fact - He gets away with so much sass and mischief just by turning on the charm and talking sweetly.

He really is a sweet bird. When I'm not feeling well he comes over to me and offers his neck for scritches, because he knows that when I pet him it makes me happy.

Yep! He was five months old when he came to live with me. That was in July of 1990. He was so cute. His eyes were dark grey, and he had just two puny reddish-grey tail feathers. Now he's got a big full red rail and he is so handsome!

Thanks! I will let him know you think he's handsome. He'll appreciate it. Boy birds are so vain! I've witnessed friends' families and even my own family members go through pets, replacing one with another after the novelty wore off or they just became too much work. It made me so sad, so I decided that I'd never ever do such a thing to a bird and when I got my own I'd care for it forever. Albie & I have gone through a lot & we've always had each other.
