I once deleted a program I was working on on accident, just pressed cmd+delete to the wrong time. I was so frustrated cause it was hard work and I of course didn't do a back up.

What languages do you use the most?

FreakySheldon In reply to Warrior536 [2014-09-02 15:36:23 +0000 UTC]
I started with Java and programmed it for ~2 years, then I got a little frustrated cause, because Java was originally meant as a language for console applications, Java didn't do double buffering on Windows so creating an own GUI wasn't good due to the flickering graphics. So I started to learn C# and after creating some nice little applications I switched to C++ and SDL, what I'm still working with now. I also tried Assembler, even created a little OS with it but that languages is incredibly unreadable and hard.
So I actually program C++ the most and then Java.
how 'bout you?

The worst part is program error, have to re-check (or even re-work on the whole thing, which I have experienced twice)... bad day with C++.

That happened to me once! But, there were some notable differences, namely my computer getting it's face(monitor) smashed in.

This brings to mind the time where I accidentaly put compile and run to a different key... I could get it to run, AND my mouse was desabled. I accidentaly pressed the button... Good times.

My sister does that sometimes. Only difference is that whenever she hits the keys the computer brakes down. ^_^' I have no idea how she does it

Well, I think I can simply say it with a quote I found a while back (I can't remember where)
"Computers will do what the programmer tells it to, the problem is that it's never what the programmer WANTS it to do."

Gods... I hated my C++ days of that.. 's probably why I never went any farther than INTRO to C++.

This seems to be a common remedy with C++ (see above reply I gave!)
