made in photoshop with my mouse. ^-^now here's my first photoshopped fanart. [of course it'd be roxas. what else would you think?] can you believe it? a year ago, i photoshopped stuff like [link] , [link] , and [link] .
...i'm glad i discovered the pen tool.
it all started one spring break morning when my brother took off my internet connection and so i needed another way to waste... :cough: use my time. "hmm," i thought, "i should try coloring roxas hair on photoshop." so i did. and everything else. and so it was the first time in clarice history that i started and finished a photoshopped drawing in one day.
and it didn't come out so bad either. i tried to mix in some hard edged shading in with blended edges...not so sure on my opinion of how that came out though. and i tried to make him look emo. which i'm not sure how in this particular style...or as of now, so ignore that.
i printed out a version without the background to put in my clipboard/drawing pad, so when i actually compared the sketch to the photoshopped version...i saw why many people didn't like it as much as i did At The Time.
so hopefully this is prettier.
even with the random background.
my file properties proclaim the piccy was colored on march 20! ^-^

well the only chance i'll get a tablet, if ever, is on christmas, so...that's all i can make. (i found a new way to color hair recently~ i'll try to post a pic that has it.) haha.
yeah. that pic was so old. my goodness. so many proportional errors.
i really wish i could've photoshopped more this past year though. i would've gotten much better.

o0o im so so glad <33 i hope you can figure that out - i once freaked out when my tablet stopped working i thouight it was broken but it was down to the usb hub and the usb port D: it scared me i nearly cried - i know thats lame D:

yeah. when i thought about it, it's kinda interesting to experience like, it not working to its extent. it might be a bit freaky and annoying after a while, but there's stuff you get to learn from having to go through it. when i first started my "switch user and sleep" mode on this computer, i learned that a)after i started it up again, my tablet stops functioning as it usually does, b)will slow down photoshop like heck if i left it open while it was in sleep mode, c)gradually slows down my computer day by day until it was like it was today, where the windows wouldn't show up as they should and it was kinda glitchy. after all, i think i've had this computer in that "switch user and sleep mode" for like, weeks, if not already a month, without officially turning off. it's very bad for the computer.
ohohohohoho. i've got like, 7k+ worth of deviations to sift through from my devWatch inbox. and it keeps piling up. which is especially bad for me since i really would like to comment on them, but may not always find the right words, leaving the tab open for another day since i'll forget if i just bookmark it. and then, i'm a procrastinator on both this checking on art And on homework, so the stress piles up furthermore, and i don't like things that stress me out. so i've decided not to do either (which is sooooooo bad for my grades.....it is So not fun. i swear i'll get them done! >____< but i'm caught in this cycle and it's really hard to get out of. v_v. )
and then i have a gamer brother that complains about me lagging him if i'm constantly loading pictures while he's playing games, so that's a big punch in the face about being the kind of artist interneter (self-made word xD) i am.
i wish you good luck on your catching up! (wish me luck on mine as well) you seem to have a better chance at it than i do! ^-^;; hehe.

yeah, you certainly learn stuff and yarr my computer is on too much - about a week or so and i try to turn it off every week but it goes straight back on again xD through the night its on to download and during the day its on because im a lazy nerd and use it all the time.. im sure it luffles me when i do turn it off.. its saves lots of stuff i think when it shuts down xD
and ZOMG 7K @____@ I think.. i would end up deleting them .. nah actually i couldnt.. xD well i dunno actually.. xD yeah thats the thing it just builds up and up until you explode D: ive had to stop watching a few people because i was getting 50+ devinations a day - so now its not so bad... the people i stopped watching... i miss seeing their art but yeah U_U they where submitting a lot of the same stuff each and every day..
I know what you mean though - ive had iot with art too - just needing to do so so much and not wanting to do it or really not in the mood to - its a horrible cycle i hope you can break free D:
psshaw does he pay for the internet? if no then he has no higher right over you D: and anyway - loading a lot of pictures really doesnt lag that much - honestly ive been doing that while my boyfriend is on the ps3 playing resistance or call of duty online and it doesn't take up enough bandwidth to cause a problem and im in England where all the cable lines are RUBBISH and out dated.. and we are all wireless so the signal is bad anyway - and you dont get that much lag from DA

yeah i know. i've decided to go through deviant by deviant and see their gallery like that (except i have to do that "browse" button in every one so that i don't miss anything) and then look through their scraps. i think this "burden" has caused me very easily avoidable stress. i don't want to stop watching anyone, really. there was this one person who had moved to a private account and so you had to note her to get her new account name, but that was on a different computer, and i didn't want to log into my account in fear of having to refresh everything if i had to restart my session. (which i feel was kinda unneeded afterwards)
there's like, this huge pile of artwork i would just Love to finish and have the potential to be something great but...it's just sitting there... ._. tis sad. i keep on wanting to finish those as well. (as well as submit them.) i need to hook up the scanner to this computer.
nooo he, in fact, does NOT pay for the internet. i should just lag him for all i care. (but i think i've maintained some kind of respect to him subconsciously. that and he can turn off my computer (which will take forever to boot up again) at anytime as a threat. him, not so much. it'll just make him exit his game, he'll start up the comp again, and join another one. and well, my brother isn't a noob gamer. (not in most games he plays, at least x]) so i don't want to be the object of his yelling and complaining when something (meaning me) Does make him lag. i don't know...dA seems to lag him pretty bad (of course youtube lags him more), gaiaonline not so much (unless it's an image heavy profile, complete with three mini-vids), fanfiction.net even less. but one fact remains true: we need FiOS. xD
whoo! it is going to be my one main goal over spring break! sift through all the deviants! (which i feel really bad since i can't comment on/look at each one individually, but still. it helps some.)

Well little by little no matter what it all slowly will get them down - im trying to keep it below 4.5k but ive been lazy this week D:
i feel kinda bad for not watching a few people - but then again most of them where inactiove like had not been here in like 47 odd weeks =0 and its my own fault for aying i will try and comment on every picture that i see - and mostly i do - i comment on like 97% of the pictures i see.
i know what you mean about unfinished artwork - or even unstarted D: i have like loads of stuff i need to do - i made a to do list on here i have like 15 peices to draw D:
and if he doesn't pay for the internet he doesnt have any more right as you do to use it - just because he is playing a game.. thats just silly.. if it annoys him that your online too why doesnt he just play when everyone is asleep or something - its what i would do.

recently i've just been favoriting and moving on. like i've forgotten to comment (only reply). it kinda just skips over my head. this time, so that i won't get as distracted, i'll bookmark all the deviations i want to comment on and then come back to them later.
yeah. seriously. he should play like, after 11, since i'm for a fact not allowed on after that. instead, he leaves the computer earlier than me, goes into his bedroom, and talks to his girlfriend on his cellphone until like, 3am or something. he should have no right to complain! i'll make sure he hears that. :] i'm sure there are gamers that stay up that late.

daily it used to take me half a hour to a hour to catch up on here xD i try to comment and really try and say things i like abouit the picture and find crit when people encourage it and such.

it's just that when i comment, i want it to mean something. not just a short three word comment that might or might not mean something. i want to describe the picture and what i like about it in detail. and realizing that i pretty much never have time for that, i end up not doing it. -_- sadness.
well i wouldn't have much proof for it. he always locks his room, and i don't really care to check on him. lately i've gotten back into my normal "summer sleeping schedule" where i got to sleep at 3:00am and wake up at like, 2pm. well, i can half-control it. but for some reason, when i sleep that little bit longer, i have some interesting dream. so today i woke up at 11 something, but decided to go back to sleep. i had a strange dream that consisted of me going to random places i never knew of and trying to get back home in the rain and in heels. with cars constantly running over into the sidewalks... very scary.
and my brother takes his laptop into his room. so i don't know exactly when he sleeps anymore.

today, I had a dream with a reoccurring location. I've always wondered if there was something Important about that location in order for it to come back in my dreams.
and i've found out that i'm not used to getting up right after waking up. (My muscles were slacking off and my brain was still half asleep) I usually lie around in bed until i don't see why i should lay around any longer. xD

which version of photoshop do you have? i use CS2 and don't know much about the others.
i'll give you some tips when i get home because the computer i'm using now doesn't have it.
it's really easy once you get the hang of it. but first i'll tell you how i set it. and that will be a bit later. ^-^
