Description Never mind the title...

This is my to-do-whenever-i-am-bored-waiting-for-the-bus kusudama. The modules are awsomelly simple, and after you get used to assembling it, it's hard NOT to do it all the time. I usually don't assemble outside home cause it is not resistent enough for me to carry around in my messy purse.

I LOVE the curler module! It's so simple and whenever I'm bored in class, I get a piece of paper (usually an old homework assignment ) and I tear it up into 12 squares! it is so simple yet so pretty! I think my teacher hates me now, especially because I have the nerve to keep folding even though I sit in front of the room Β

I absolutely love the colors you've chosen here. All are so bright and beautiful!

OMG you actually made it O:

I know how to make the pieces but I find the assembling part REALLY hard.
Anyways good job, yo

thanks! I found it useful to practice with 7.5 cm squares in the beginning (though the result is too big and kinda ugly), and I used to put just a little glue on the tip of my fingers, while assembling 4 groups of 3 modules, then putting them together. then after u get the knack, it becomes way easier. Then u can move to 5 cm squares, so the final result is way better. Hope it helps! xoxo

Those front two, the red/orange and blue/purple, really stand out to me. The way the color gradates is incredible. Makes me want to pull out some paper and make some... I remember seeing how these are made but I have no attempted one yet.

It looks like you've uploaded some other good stuff recently too. Awesome job!

That's really, really neat. I particularly like the way that they've been coloured. I'd like to try to make one of those some time. Is there any limit to how many of these you can combine together before things get terribly unstable?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

KarenKaren In reply to virus610 [2009-02-22 16:14:45 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much! I know some people have assembled it with up to 30 modules, but I personally haven't tried yet. 5cm paper is perfect for a 12-unit, I believe that to make a 30-unit one it'd be better to use 7,5cm squares. Note me if u manage to assemble it! I'd like to see it ^_^

Ps: Just found a 30-unit one! Seems pretty stable [link]
