Such a nice lighting and atmosphere. I like how it's unclear who is more insubstantial - the shinigami or the pedestrians who are unaware of them. It's also nice how you are not slavishly stuck on the manga style with the cloaks and general style.

Oh my! This looks just wicked!! I'm not quite sure what things brings to my mind, but this picture kind of gives me Matrix-vibes yet not really while also dark-future-au-survived-apocalypse-when-humans-ruined-everything vibes. All in all this looks extremely cool. Love the dark scenery with the fact Kenpachi and Byakuya are strolling middle of the street like two bosses that they are. The only thing that bothers me in the picture (and that's extremely small fact) is the fact that one background-guy is walking same way as Kenpachi and Byakuya. I think it might have looked better in symbolic manner if all background people had walked different direction than those two or there had been more who had walked same way as Kenpachi and Byakuya. But that's just minor detail. The reason why I would liked that way, is because it seems all the people are walking toward light or some sort, while it seems Byakuya and Kenpachi can walk 'everywhere' because they're in higher position among dead. (I don't know why I think those people around them are dead -they could be just normal humans and those two would be just taking stroll, but...meh. That's not how I see it.) All in all, this is awesome~!

For me this work was quite difficult - many characters, an urbanistic landscape, prospect, and I see many defects.
But only after your words I paid attention that that guy behind captains spoils composition a little. Thanks for this remark.
And Yes, you have correctly understood the meaning of this picture. I wanted to capture the gloomy atmosphere of the world in an alternate reality. The fact that this work is an illustration to the Russian fanfic. archiveofourown.org/works/1020… He belongs to the genre of science fiction and partly to cyberpunk. Byakuya and Kenpachi there captains of police.
