Description Shout out to hibbary  for her awesome watercolor papers she has let everyone use. This one is a highly edited version of her paper from one of her packs.
Like... it is just the outline of the brush strokes. STILL, it is a nice effect

This was like 50% experiment inspired by something I found on tumblr. More painterly. More refined. I made a whole new brush for her scale reflections. Also I added a blue shine to her scales since I have had that idea forever but never managed to convey it well. But now I can 8D

This took me roughly 10 hours. Maybe. I stretched it out over a few days.

Oh my, it surely does look pretty amazing!
Specially dig dem horns which looks rather realistic.
And those scales.....

I also like the shade of pink you used for the interior of the nose.
People tend to just shade that black entirely.

Thanks a lot. Yeah I had a lot of breakthroughs with this one, and I have alwys prefered a pink inner nose area.
I had a lot of fun with the scales. Some we hand painted, some were created by a new scale brush that I had created special for the project

Oh wow, you can create brushes??
Which one is harder to make fonts or brushes?

I can't even create a single artwork without my photoshop reminding me that the "cache is full" or that of my computer freezing at the middle of something important.

Hence the only thing I could create at this point is a mess.
A big pile of it, actually!

Brushes are extremely easy to make and adjust so it does what you want it to. Fonts? Fonts need a special program, and you need to know a lot of trypography or at the vetry least good handwriting to make them work.

I have a nice big state of the art mac that gives me no problems. Thankfully. I make some very large files sometimes, so I am glad my computer can mamage with those

Yeah, someone did mention about knowing about kerning and all those stuff. Awfully easier to just download free fonts instead.

And remember to back-up those files regularly. Keep two copies of the same files if you can because well, you'd never know!

yeah making fonts is kinda tricky if you arent going to make a "hand writtien" font

my backup drive is set to back up every day, multipe times. Though I had to reset my mac to facotry settings a week ago due to some error that took 3 apple customer service people to figure out. orz.

But I have EVEEYTHING I used to have, aside from my chrome bookmarks, so I am happy. Though that is part of the reason I have not uploaded more art is I was trying to dig through my backup drive to find the specific file that could return my photishop settings and custom colors.

Oh, there is that!
But still, that is a bit easier to manage/ recover as opposed to a I dunno....a malfunctioning CPU.
Which I currently have, so yeah....fuck that!

Oh no! Good luck with that. XD I was very upset becuase I have barely had this comuter for a year, and Macs are supposed to last a LOT longer than that

Is it giving you the blue screen?
Well mine is and on a constant basis even.
I fear for the worst but until then I do take good care of it by feeding it vitamins and saying a little prayer before I shut it down.
Yeah, kidding aside. I sure hope I earn enough to replace my old boy.
I've had this baby since 2007. It's been a flood survivor twice so someway somehow....I'm amazed with it's longevity.

No blue screen. Macs dont do that. if they freeze they give you a grey screen. Mine was giving me a loading window that never loaded.

Youve had your computer one year longer than my laptop, which still runs fine by some miricale

Ohhh, that sounds even scarier!
So how do you deal with that then? Do you simply press reset or do you still have to wait for it to finish?

That's insane, laptops usually has problems with it's batteries! Thus most laptop users I know can't really work anywhere else without an electrical outlet. Making the whole "travel as you work" aspect of laptops invalid.

Maybe they are immortal beings or gifts from gods running on alien technology. Either way, it just goes to show that if you do take care of your gadgets they can and will last for a lifetime.

We ended up having to do some proceduers where we reset the computer while pressing certain keys to evaluate the drive and if it wss scratched or anything, and if so, to repare it.
However, there was 4 different things we could do, and none of them worked, until the apple care guy finally got me to his manager and she walked me through resetting from factory settings. Which I did, and so I am still trying to find the preferences on my computer, (and had a HELL of a time finding the poerper download + serial code) of my old purchased PS CS5, but I got that back. the only think I am missing ight now are the chrome bookmarks. But those may never be recovered

yeah my laptop has a crap battry and always needs ans outlet. This desktop mac.. the normal problem is you wear out the scratch disc becuase you are online all the time

Well the laptop in question... I only take it out when I am on vacation, so neglect is a factor too

Bookmarks are unrecoverable. Are you still on Chrome? I switched to Firefox after encountering some unfixable SSL problems with my twitter account.

Yeah, there is that!
Electronics, just like everything else has a definite lifespan. It just sucks that it could die at a moment's notice and at times when you needed it the most.

I am on chrome, yes. And it works fine. Ive had no further issues with it.

I am pretty sure my laptop is getting too outdated to run, but since I only use it for a short period maybe once ot twice a year (like,, a week) I aint tripping to get a new one so fast. being hella old is it's only fault. Works fine with what I need it to.
