Rei overlooking one of the moons of Arelle.Dude, the lineart you see here is exactly as it came out of my pen. I didn't even use the eraser a single time before I began attacking this sketch with colour. I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.
Anyway, I only meant to do a speed paint for the BG, but as usual I over-refined EVERYTHING ΰ² _ΰ² Still, it only took a couple hours to do, so I'd like to think I'm getting... somewhere? ;;

I just love how my vision are pulled into her glassy eyes...so hypnotizing~ *v* too bad I get distracted with the surreal imagery and feeling that the mountain ranges exudes~
Now if I could only let my eyeballs focus on two things at the same time...

Really think it's pretty, always nice to see pictures of Rei since she's awesome. And that's such a pretty frown, with soul-piercing eyes that make you feel bad for making her frown. once again, your background creating abilities own the rest of the universe's.

Bsh plz it's so painted, I'll send you the PSD IRL, a terrain can't be so devoid of vegetation/loose rocks/etc but I didn't feel like painting that crap so I was just all "screw ya'll this is gonna be a planet with no vegetation or loose rocks. Ever. Aw yeah." It's hard out here bein sci fi |:
My lines can only be that smooth for uber simple poses like this and where I TRY really hard to be neat. If I don't try, or I start sketching a more complex pose, my hand goes all skdfsdhf and starts making a bunch of needless lines rofl.
