It feels very "human" and less of a fictional comic book (almost exagerated) character... i want to post up my version of the character soon. And I love the classic look from the 1930's... makes me wonder if some DC characters were ment to represent that glorious era, and never should've left past it. I mean, just look at the Batmobile, its based on how ALL vehicles looked in the original Gotham. As a matter of fact, I love seeing their names in the old 1930's titles, simply epic... [link] I always thought of Gotham as a city preserved in the past and of Metropolis as a city aspired to the future.

I prefer this one. It reminds me of Bob Kane's Batman

Thanks I'm glad it reminds you of Kane's Batman, I was going for a more detailed version of his "Bat-Man" from his first apperence

Too true. In reality he was always supposed to be Black and Grey, but the way jet black is normally portrayed in American comics is with a blue tint so it won't clash with other shadings or backrounds. It seems as Batman entered the late 40's and 50's that 'tint' took over and he become mostly blue on grey. Comic Artist David Mazzucchelli seemed to bring back that jet black look to the modern era with Batman:Year One, and boy was it awesome

True, it depends on my mood really. Sometimes I prefer blue but somedays you just need that darker black look, it always looks so badass on him

I have to say that I think I like this one better ad the urple BG doesn't seem to eat our dark hero. It looks more natural.

I do kind of miss the retro-shading on the cloak though. x'D
