I had a lot of fun tracking this woman down after she appeared in another collage of yours ...

She has a certain look about her ... as in "chase me ... but only when no one is looking" ...

Thank you. What did you find?

She's another of Charles Amable Lenoir's ladies, and possibly the sweetest looking too ... the original painting is called Pink Rose.

In the "date, marry, avoid" scheme of things, she's firmly in the 'marry' category along with HallΓ©'s Luna.

Wow! What a great feature! I really admire what you did there. If I can be of any help let me know. I used to be a teacher and I’m good at explaining things. Have a great day! ~Kanchan

I really like your idea of making your own artwork as a response to what I believe is your feeling about old masters. You are telling us why their artwork is important to you. I probably should have a go at the debate you just posted...
Usually your artworks are a little too busy for my taste (mind me: I like what you are doing, just that your choices of patterns and colors are too bright for my eye), but this one is lovely! Here I can see her in her garden, and I would love to join her!

How lovely of you to write these things! You are an obviously good-hearted and generous spirit.
I truly enjoyed your addition to the group debate too!

I totally understand that my art is not restful enough or too busy for, too bright and with apparently clashing loud colors in it for everybody either.
Thanks for this wonderful compliment about Violet! I am so glad you enjoyed her!

You are most welcome dear! And it is nice to be well thought of...

Luckily there are many different tastes out there, the art world would be quite boring if everybody did and liked the same things... I can imagine that those who really love your colorful work, would think that most of my work is way too bland. But together we make the art world richer just because of that!

I like prΓ©-raphaelite too. Like Beardsley or Dante-Rossetti and symbolists like Gustav Moreau.
I'll follow your work!
Have a nice day!

Hello! Thanks for the kind words. I do have a place in my heart for Jugendstil. I have just finished a series of Mucha inspired pieces, and I use Klimt figures or his ornamentation all the time. My other love is the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and especially Waterhouse. I am very pleased to hear from you, and that we ran into each other. ~Kanchan
