Love the Druid costumes! The work you put into them really shows!
Did you make the ears or purchase them from a vendor/site? If so, who; because I'm looking to do a costume of my mage fairly soon and need long ears.

Thank you! ^^
Uhm... these ears we bough 3 years ago, so I don't know what website it was. My new ears I got from ebay:

I'll have to scour ebay for a pair.
Unfortunately I'm not very well versed in German
but with the new expansion coming out I'm almost
considering dressing as a Troll Druid.
Oh and I wanted to ask what you used for your body paint
too! The colour looks really even.

I use Kryolan Supracolor. I is also not a perfect paint but it is much more better than my last water based make up.But I also like this nutaral look of it. ^^
I wish you good luck and success with your T5. I can't wait to see the progress pictures! I think this barken look of the set will be really hard to get it. ^^

I think the bark will be the most difficult part
as well but I think for that I may cut
strips of leather and paint each one with bark
lines. The shoulders are going to be my
favorite part and I'll be using a molding
technique I was thought in college for those.
I'll send you my Cosplay .com page when I have
something up! Thanks again for the advise and help!

Yeah, the bark is the reason why I still don't try this costume. Now I think that I will learned enough to manage it, but I'm working on a another set. Maybe next year I will use this model, too. ^^
He he, I think I would make the bark like I Journey's End made: I carved a lot of lines in the papermachee and intensified this look with a acrylic paint. ^^

That's a good idea!
What kind of paper did you use for
your paper machete by the way? I use
new paper strips dipped in glue-water
but its not stable enough to
do what you did so I thought I'd ask.

At first I use crepe tape to cover breaks and holes. Then I also cover it with news paper strips for a solid base. And for the last layer I use paper machee. I buy this stuff in powder form in little plastic bags. I mix it with some water and get a nice, pastry like mass, which I use for covering and modeling. When this stuff is completely dry it becomes really hard and solid and you can carve, file and polish ist very easy. ^^
So if you have this as a final layer you can model a great barken look with a dremel! ^^

Great! I thought that's what
you used but I wasn't sure. I used the same
white material for a mask in school.
Thanks! I don't have a dremel though so
I may have to make due with something else.
What costume are you working on now?

Yeah, it's great stuff, isn't it? ^^
I have no dremel, too. Just lent one. Someday I will buy one, but they are so expensive! >.<
Oh, at the moment I just work on some commisions, because I still searching for the right fabrics and have to wait untill Blizzard show their new weapon designs. But I started on working with Druid Tier 8. Shoulders are very hard to build, but first one's base form is almost done. ^^
