About time I did a new Halo piece! In celebration of Halo 3, the Chief is back to finish the fight.Painted with: Watercolor (outlines in black marker)
Original Size: 7" x 4.5 "
Time: Few hours
Some people have been asking and yeah, I forgot to mention...it was meant to be "unfinished" like this. I had planned to cut it off there when I started the piece. Was just trying something different.

The cut off part is cool, and very well balanced.
If it were me, I would have put Arbiter in the cut off space. But that would be me.

ANALYSIS
Let me start by saying that this is the most exquisite Halo work I have seen thus far. The lines formed by edge on the cheifs left shoulder are some of the best I have seen in a watercolor work. The reflected light on the armor makes for a very realistic implied texture. All the colors transition very smoothly into one another, giving the work a very lifelike feel. With the analysis done, I'll go on with the breakdown

I was wondering, and I understand if you say no, if you would be against me getting this as a tattoo. I think it is an incredible piece and I love the unfinished look.
I have been poking around for good mc artwork and yours is the best I have seen. I have tried designing my own pieces and even had ones commissioned but they just don't hold a candle to this piece.

do not get a tattoo of mc. please. that would make you probably the biggest dork ever. any other tat, fine. but please do not get a halo tat, please! mc is cool, but that is a very permenant thing, i dont think youl be very happy with that when your older.

I really don't care what it makes me. Don't think I haven't been thinking about this tattoo for a long time now, almost 5-6 years. I always think for a long time before getting a tattoo, no matter what it is and this was no different, I had just been looking for the artwork that suited what I wanted best.
I am very aware that tattoos are a permanent thing, I have 4 so far and already have 2 more planned out. I have a reason for getting it, just like all my other tattoos.

very nice i love the coloring but if u were going for the h3 effect it is too green and yousould have added the faceplate markings but other than that the peice as a very cinematic apeal, the shading is awsome but you could have done a pencil sketch to even out he lines... but a very nice job.
