*prepares for the pairing war*Instead of flaming me, or something, how about reading *gabzillaz Anti-NS comics? They're really funny (I even think so
). [link] [link] I have been planning on drawing this comic a looooong time ago (I had the script written out completely in December), so this wasn't inspired by the recent events in Naruto. I just happened to finally stop being lazy and to finish this behemoth. And believe me, this took FOREVER to finish, and I got rather sloppy with it too.
I still have confidence in NaruSaku, and whatever pairings become endgame, I will still detest NH/SS for the reasons displayed in the comic (among many others, but I didn't want to make the comic too long).
Hopefully, you guys can have a sense of humor with this, whether you agree with it or not. In fact, I made fun of some pairings that I do like (ex: I made fun of SasuKarin and SuiKa, and I happen to like both).

Best thing I've ever read, and I COMPLETELY agree. SasuSaku is the worst pairing ever born, and it just doesn't work. It may have worked before the Chuunin Exams, but the possibility is so minimal that it's laughable. I;m not against NaruHina, but I don't support it...

I prefer NH over NS but that's only because I just really don't like Sakura's personality and the way she acts toward people. We could all be happy with NaruSasu though, right? No?... alright.

I don't usually make comments on... anything, but I was reading through some of the comments and wanted to put some of my own 2 cents in.
I personally prefer NaruHina for a lot of reasons I won't go into detail with here, but I accept that NaruSaku is a possibility, I actually don't really want Sakura to end up with anyone. I don't hate her or anything, I just think she'd be perfectly fine being single rather than getting with anyone, that's what the majority of the adults in Naruto have done so far, anyway. The only real couples that existed were destroyed with someone being killed (may Asuma and Jiraiya rest in peace T.T). It could very well be possible that it'll just be open ended, which I think I'd prefer so the shippers won't be crushed by seeing one of their pairings not being the final answer. I think it'd be worse if Kishi ended it with couples that are set in stone since the shipping wars are so severe now.
I prefer not to debate shipping, I like to let people keep their own opinions as long as they're not trying to make those who like something else look stupid or just hate everyone who likes that instead.
Ah, it feels good getting that off of my chest.

Saw this again and I realized that I forgot to comment that I got a HUGE kick out of the NaruHina headcanon scene (which I always notice is a popular fantasy of NaruHina shippers)where Naruto is saying "I wish Hinata were here" when Sakura hits him in your comic. I also appreciate that you mentioned that Guy hits Lee when Lee is acting foolish yet the hypocritical NaruHina shippers don't bash Guy for it. Wtf? >
(Somehow, even when I hated Neji for picking on Lee in the flashbacks and before I shipped NejiHina and KibaHina, I got the feeling that Neji and Hinata would "change the Hyuga clan" by marrying each other because it would create some kind of unity between the two different family branches. I've read in history books where royal families from different nations marrying each other so they could be allies as well as parallel-cousin marriage to keep the family line and resources.)

Ha I liked it, I am a SasuSaku fan, but NaruSaku isn't bad either. You brought up some points I didn't even consider, I'm not that big of a fan of NaruHina, they're just there. I think if Naruto were to end up with anyone it would have to be Sakura, and no one else. And Sasuke's probably gonna die alone with his motives anyways (sorry Uchiha Revival Clan Plan). Can I just point out that Katara and Zuko, when the show was originally created the mindset was that Zuko and Katara would end up together, but it failed as the show went on. But nice job, it got me thinking...

Uh, where did you hear that about Zutara? In interviews and episode commentaries, Mike and Bryan made it clear that Kataang was the intention from the beginning, and they actually made fun of Zutarians quite a bit.
Q: I have never seen shipping take on a life of its own as I have with the fans of Avatar. What do you think of all this?
BK: I think it's important to note one thing I have heard from the internet is that some fans have the idea we've put shipping into the show because they've asked for it...requested it. This is totally not the case. Mike and I like to do melodrama stuff and we wanted that in there. Not that it's all cheesy, but we wanted that from the get-go. Five years ago when we were developing this.
MDD: Yeah, Aang-Katara, that romance. Some stuff developed along the way, and we're glad some fans are more receptive to that element of the show, but it was in the DNA of the thing from the start.
BK: I remember until mid-way through first season I never even knew what shipping was, and then suddenly on the internet...

M: Sorry to disappoint the "Zutara" fans out there, but we never intended for Zuko and Katara to get together. Maybe we're just sentimental, but we always had a soft spot in our hearts for "Kataang".
B: Zuko and Katara might have shared some sparks, but sometimes there are people along your "journey of love" who are there to teach you about yourself and what you really need, but don't necessarily end up being your partner. Yahoo!Answers isn't very reputable, since anyone can answer the questions. The comment was made by a fan, not someone connected to the series. I have all of the A:TLA DVDs and have watched all of the extras, including the Bryke commentaries, and they have never said that Zutara was the original plan. In fact, they said that Zutara (and shipping in general) confused them, and in the commentary for "The Southern Raiders," Mike and Bryan made fun of Zutara when Zuko rescues Katara from the falling brick, saying "LOL, Zutara." Furthermore, Mike and Bryan made a silly video for San Diego's ComicCon to make fun of Zutara and ATLA shipping: [link]
Don't get me wrong, I actually don't hate Zutara. Although Kataang was my favorite ATLA pairing, I thought Zutara was an interesting and fun noncanon/crack pairing. But it was never intended to be canon, and the segment of Zutara fans (not all of them) who constantly insisted that it was canon or that it was "better writing" than Kataang got on my nerves.
