This is really good! I agree with the previous poster - the Thorin/Bilbo thing really irritates me, and its good to see him with a woman!

Thank you, Aeorn is still a work in process, but she's starting to come together. Yes, I was hoping to see more fanfic out there of him with women, but people are definitely much more interested in Thorin and Bilbo. I can see why and how of course, their platonic relationship in the film is much more vivid and heartwarming, much like the Frodo/Sam Merry/Pippin relations.

I wish there were more of these. The whole Thilbo thing is no fun for me (and as a hard-core Tolkien Nerd, it kinda annoys me, I'm not going to lie.

Me too! Have you read any of the Thorin/Tauriel fan fiction? I love Thorin and Bilbos platonic relationship, but I feel the same way as you which is why I wanted to create an OC for him.

I am in the process of writing a fan fic, and the ideas are still kind of rough.
-Aeorn hails from the kingdom of Vaelorn, a land hidden in the far Northern lands of Middle Earth. There, along with Smaug are where the dragons lived like kin amongst the people. She is the daughter of Graen, King of Vaelorn. The kingdom is destroyed by the Necromancer (Sauron) five years after The Battle of Five Armies, his powers and forces continuing to grow. She escapes with her father's crown (one of three created from the remains of Ancalagon, bred by Morgoth) on the wings of Gal, a white dragon of the Vaelorn kingdom. They are pursued by Sauron and his fell beast into the Eastern region of Rhovanion, and well, if you want to know more I'll see about posting the fic. It's about 30 pages in, but needs a lot of work.

wow that sounds amazing! and all back story too. does the fic focus on her past like your description does or does it then take that and apply Thorin and the hobbit characters to it as well. yes i would love to read it. if you have a link for it feel free to send it my way

Exactly, a bit of a backstory throughout, but it revolves around the present as Thorin and the dwarves continue to rebuild the kingdom post Smaug. The main characters (thus far) are Thorin, Aeorn, Gandalf, Sauron, the dwarves, with minor characters of Mirkwood, Laketown, Dale, and Erebor, and some dragons. Bilbo hasn't made an appearance just yet
